Chevron Paid Compensation Land Rp. 8,6 M

Pekanbaru - PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia (CPI) has been denied to annex land owned by Farmers Group Rantau Bais (KTRBT) in Rokan Hilir (Rohil), Riau. U.S. firm claims it has paid land compensation amounting to Rp 8.6 billion.
It was announced by Manager of Communications Policy, Government & Public Affairs-Sumatra, PT CPI, Hanafi Kadir told detikFinance, Monday (25/10/2010).
According to him, the CPI has been paid in full to KTRBT amounting to Rp 8.6 billion for the land area of 457.19 hectares consisting of 296 Certificate of Land (SKT). Payment of compensation of land owned by farmer groups is done in three stages. The first stage payment has been received KTRBT in March 1999 of Rp 2.5 billion. Payment of the second stage was in July 1999 amounting to Rp 2.5 billion.
"Up to the payment of this second stage, handed over 231 new KTRBT SKT. CPI later found that of 231 there are 8 SKT SKT those who are beyond the stretch of 457.19 hectares of the agreement. To date, the CPI findings, the new KTRBT submit 5 SKT is right and not yet handed over the remaining 3 other SKT, "said Hanafi.
Explained, payment of the third phase in September 2005 amounted to USD 3.6 billion through the disbursement of consignment in the District Court after the completion of the internal conflict Dumai KTRBT. At this stage, KTRBT submit again to the CPI SKT 65 other deficiencies.
"However, 55 of whom were SKT is outside the contracted stretch of 457.19 ha. Therefore, the CPI KTRBT refund to those for all 65 SKT SKT exchanged everything right," said Hanafi.
